Kelley Janes

Kelley Collier Janes paints landscapes and trees mostly. For her this work is a means of metabolizing giant environmental fear of loss; she says it feels like what eating a whole whale might feel like. She works in a funny garage with acrylic and charcoal and painted over canvases and thinks of great observational poems that evaporate before she can write them down but she knows you would just love them. She hopes to live long enough to see the return of Halley's comet.
