LatinAmerican Austinite
Patrick Fagerberg and Ender Martos are two celebrated Latin American artists who have lived for over two decades in the city of Austin, Texas. They represent everything that is weird about Old Austin, as well as that blend of diversity and innovation that defines New Austin.
Optic Artist Martos was born in Merida, Venezuela. He is well known for creating visual experiences that engage the viewer's senses through the meticulous use of light, color, geometry and movement. Ender's colorful and mathematical wall pieces have been celebrated all over the world, as well as his massive geometric abstract public art sculptures.
Austin Icon Patrick Fagerberg was born in Cuernavaca, Mexico. He started painting after a 400 lbs camera crane fell on his head at SXSW 2011, killing his own self, and igniting a new creative path he never knew he had inside. His beautiful paintings live in the realm of abstract expressionism, often drawing comparison to Still and Mark Rothko.
