I have had a life long obsession with art and design.

A long time ago in a land far away I started my creative career as a window dresser of fashion and interiors. I spent long hours and many a day creating a fantasy world for others to enjoy. Mannequins and power tools gave way to paint and brush; my first love.

My art focuses on unique portraiture and is inspired by my past and present as a designer. My Fab Femmes are from all historical eras and walks of life. They portray the full spectrum of human emotions and reside somewhere between reality and fantasy.

I find inspiration in many things: The elegance and sometimes silliness of vintage advertising, glamorous and edgy fashion illustration, the depth of emotion that portrait photography portrays, and my undying love of our four-legged friends.

Digital sketching and underpainting is the base for my "soft focus" art created with chalk pastels, conte' crayon, watercolor, colored pencil and charcoal.
