Tour Stop #62

Mylene Zozaya-Tinoco

Originally from Mexico City, her career has fluctuated amid the management of artistic & cultural affairs, education and art production.

After completing her degree in Electronic Engineering, she studied an MA in Modern and Contemporary Art. These two branches of knowledge have allowed her to envision a broad perspective of art, epistemologies and technology, which are part of her main drivers for her artistic production and research.

She is founder and manager of the artistic residency program Au, where she has produced, curated and co-curated many exhibitions, artist talks, studio visits and workshops. Au residency has created international connections for the artists participating in the programs in Brazil, Canada, Germany, Mexico, Spain and the United States.

She is founder and director of the Center of Visual Studies CEVi, in Mexico City. Since 2010 she has created multiple programs of artistic education focused on Art History, Modern and Contemporary Art, Photography and New Media.

Her professional interests in all the fields where she develops her practices, emphasize and promote the awareness of individuals and the change of paradigms through art.
