
Baron Wilson
Baron Rinehart Wilson is a painter, designer, teacher and visual artist in Austin, Texas. He is a native of Midland, Texas. He is a descendant of the American artist William Henry Rinehart (1825 -1874) an acclaimed figurative sculptor working in the classical tradition.
Baron began drawing and painting as a young child. He studied both fine art and architectural design while in college earning both an Associate of Art and Bachelor of Architecture degrees.
In 1994, Baron and his wife Stephanie moved to Austin, Texas. It is here where his talents in the fields of both art and architecture were fully recognized and he began producing architectural renderings in the traditional mediums of watercolor & gouache. Baron built a practice in architectural illustration and design in Austin serving clients worldwide for over two decades.
Baron currently produces original paintings and works of art that utilize a variety of mediums from graphite and ink, colored pencil to watercolor, gouache, acrylic & oil paintings on paper and canvas. Subjects range from Texas regional landscapes, still-life, abstracts and architectural landmarks to figurative artwork and portraits. He also teaches drawing & painting and is currently the President of Plein Air Austin.
