Tayler Duprel Wieler

Tayler Duprel Wieler is an artist based in Austin, Texas. Tayler hasn't always been an artist and it's been a winding road to today. She received a bachelor's in journalism and worked in the non-profit sector for 7 years before listening to the voice that told her she's an artist. Tayler took her first drawing class at the age of 25 in 2017. But it wasn't until the pandemic that Tayler decided to fully commit herself to her art. She left her job and enrolled full time at Austin Community College in 2021. ACC is where Tayler has grown into the artist she is today and she credits her professors Shawn Camp and Sydney Yeager for all they've taught her. She currently focuses on the human form and oil painting. This past Spring, she won First Place in Painting at ACC's 46th Annual Student Art Exhibition. This summer, Tayler participated in workshops in New York and Santa Fe to study portrait painting. She looks forward to continuing to study, learn and perfect her craft and share that will all of you!
