Emily Galusha
Born and raised in central Arkansas, Emily Galusha’s artwork is rooted in her upbringing as well as Nature, relationships and the subconscious. Growing up in a creative family planted seeds for the desire to seek and explore, constantly pushing boundaries of curiosity. She sources inspiration from the resiliency of the natural world and uses flora and fauna to share a range of narratives from scientific to the allegorical and transcendental.
"Undercurrents" is a continuous exploration of where the physical, psychological, emotional, and creative realms of the human body intersect. Emily's work is inspired and motivated by her experience as a dancer as well as various personal milestones.
Emily has been based in Austin for 12 years, enjoys being on the road and recently became a mother. She is a multidisciplinary artist typically working in watercolor, charcoal, graphite, mixed media and occasionally printmaking.
