Jamie Lea Wade

Jamie was born and raised somewhere between the beach and the swamp in the cultural melting pot otherwise known as Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Her dad worked construction, mostly as a painter, but could really do it all. Her mom loved nature and worked with plants, trees, and flowers for various companies, the city, and eventually for herself.

Not long after earning her BFA in Ceramics from the Kansas City Art Institute, Jamie moved to the much drier climates of Texas to be with the love of her life back in his hometown; where the arts thrive. (0:

They started Exponential Art and got married the same year. Today, they both make their own art while sharing 2-d and 3-d studios. They both also curate, consult, and animate on the side.

Their studio at the Canopy in Austin is their gallery and 2-D making space, whereas the Eye of the Dog Art Center in San Marcos is where the pottery and sculpture happen.
