Danielle Ivester

Danielle Ivester is an abstract painter based in Austin, Texas. Her work focuses on the relationship between color and abstracted forms inspired by the natural landscape around her. Originally from Massachusetts, she graduated from Endicott College with a BFA in studio art and moved to Austin shortly after having been drawn to the quiet, expansive landscape of central Texas.

Working with acrylic paint on canvas, Danielle's current work explores the natural landscape through many soft layers of acrylic washes that are then contrasted by the deconstruction & reconstruction of the canvas. This process brings about a reimagined landscape that pays homage to the coastal shores of Massachusetts and the dry earth of the West Texas.

In creating these works, Danielle's intention is to provide the viewer with a calming visual and remind the viewer of a landscape fondly remembered.
