Lucas Aoki

A native of Córdoba, Argentina, Lucas started painting in 2010, after his move to Austin. He is a self-taught artist whose work keeps evolving through research and experimentation. In 2011 he decided to take his vision to a larger scale and has worked on numerous projects and commissions.

His involvement with the street art community, art collectives, as well as the private and public commissions he has done in the past 8 years have been a powerful experience for self-growth both artistically and personally.

He has done clients such as Microsoft and Facebook as well as participating in international mural festivals like Pow!Wow!Hawaii, Pow!Wow!Worcester and IPAF Cape Town, South Africa. He recently participated in the Facebook Art-in-Residence program.

He is still exploring oil and acrylic painting while expanding his knowledge on mixed media.

There is a constant interest in switching back and forth between studio work and mural painting.
