Zanny Cox

Zanny was born in Austin, Texas with Indigenous Mexican, and American roots. She was aware from a young age the great craftsmanship of her native ancestry, which sparked her curiosity for beading. She learned bead weaving at a young age and made gifts for family, friends, and jewelry for herself. Eventually teaching herself to weave textiles and work in precious metals. She continues to explore the skills of her Kickapoo and Mexican ancestors through her modern interpretation of their ancient crafts.
