Isabel Glatthorn

Isabel Glatthorn is a ceramic artist making pottery and sculptural artwork in Austin, TX. She makes elegant, functional pottery featuring calming glaze colors and symbols that reference the beauty in nature and in our humanity. Isabel started Soul Matter Studio in 2018, and has since collaborated with a number of high profile clients including Uchiko, Mcguire Moorman Hospitality, and Soho House- you can also find her pieces in many personal collections all over Austin and the USA. Isabel grew up in New Canaan, CT, where her passion for clay started from a very young age. She has been developing her skills in hand building, wheel throwing and sculpture for 16 years. She attend the University of Texas at Austin in 2012, and worked as a graphic designer in the music & tech industries for years before leaving the industry to explore her love of clay full time in 2017.
