Alexander Lohn

Alexander Lohn has been designing and building custom wooden furniture and home goods in Austin, TX since 2019. Originally acquiring an architecture degree in 2011, he realized being in an office behind a computer, was not what he was looking for. The following years were a long journey that included joining and leaving the Francisan Friars, living in a van, working for George Nakashima Woodworker, and stumbling upon woodworkers at the East Austin Studio Tour. He graduated from the 9-month comprehensive program at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in 2019. Before working for himself he has done work in Austin for Shota Yamaguchi Design, Fox Furniture, and Louis Fry Furniture.
