Rhodes Hinman

Rhodes is a designer and maker who offers a series of made-to-order furniture pieces as well as custom woodworking and design services for furniture and built-ins in a variety of scales and styles. He focuses on the details of a project - be it small painted accents, or the carved texture on the underside of an armrest - as a way to bring little moments of joy into our daily interaction with often overlooked objects. He collaborates frequently with designers, architects, and custom home builders in Austin, as well as working with private clients to help bring their vision to life. His goal is to make beautiful things that serve their function for years to come with intention and elegance. Rhodes was born and raised in Austin, studied furniture design and woodworking in Olympia, Washington, and in the fall of 2018 returned home to Austin and started his furniture studio, Rhodes Hinman Craft + Design. His studio is a part of the Splinter Group - an artist and maker collective on E. Cesar Chavez St.
