Melanie Lewis

Art is a first love, and a second occupation for me. Originally a science educator, I began a serious venture into art about 22 years ago, taking classes at the Laguna Gloria Art School and later with group work at a local artist's studio. I specialize in painting, and use acrylic paint and ink, pencils, markers, pastel, and oil. I love nature, people, Judaica and hope my love of these shows in my artwork. I have exhibited in Austin at a variety of venues including coffee shops, the Dell Community Center, a local synagogue, the West Austin studio tour, and Austin Art Space Gallery. I am currently a resident artist at Austin Art Space Gallery.
