Ellen Hunt

Ellen Hunt is a jeweler and architect and has spent a lifetime looking and designing. Born in Providence, RI, and traveling across continents, she’s been settled in Austin since it was home to the cosmic cowboys. She a fourth generation metalsmith, following in the footsteps of her old world great grandfather who was a blacksmith, down to her mother who was a jeweler. Ellen went back to trade school to learn metalsmithing and found she too had the bug to wield fire to metal to create jewelry. She’s also committed to Ethical Metalsmith, using recycled metals and gemstones, lab created equivalents and rarely, mined minerals in an effort to keep children out of the direct mining of mineral for jewelry.
