Jennifer Conroy
Jennifer grew up in Austin, immersed in nature and art, a dog always at her heal, often knee-deep in Waller Creek. She studied English at UT Austin (BA in English, Spanish Minor, 1992) and completed a Masters (1996) and Doctorate (2000) in Public Health at UT Health Science Center, Houston. She worked at UT (1995-2000) and MDAnderson Cancer Center (2000-2003) as well as the Austin public health department (2003-2006) before consulting from 2006-2015. In 2003 she bought and remodeled her first home on Willow Street in East Austin. Willow lit her passion for old home rescue and remodel, now her profession. Jennifer grew up a potter's daughter. She began teaching and producing pottery ( Feats of Clay, 2014-2017), and opened Two Goats Pottery (2017-present). She began to paint at Austin Community College (ACC) in 2017, participating in workshops with Larry Moore (Maine, 2017 and 2019), with plein air friends in Round Rock (2014-2019), and at Laguna Gloria (2021). Her paintings have shown at the Downtowner Gallery (2017), ReImagine Art (2019), the Austin Studio Tour (2018, 2019, 2021), and ACC (2018-2022). In her free time Jennifer seeks sanctuary in nature and travel, both reflected in her heART.
