
Flatbed Center for Contemporary Printmaking
Established in 1989, Flatbed Press, now known as Flatbed Center for Contemporary Printmaking, is widely regarded as the premier fine art press in Texas. Flatbed moved from the MLK studio to its new location at 3701 Drossett Drive in 2019.
Flatbed Center for Contemporary Printmaking includes a gallery dedicated to exhibitions that feature contemporary artists that include printmaking in their art practice. Flatbed also operates a professional collaborative printmaking studio, Flatbed Press, and a separate open community studio, known as Community Press, where it mentors, educates, explores, and seeks to expand the role of traditional and innovative printmaking. operation for over thirty years, Flatbed has a deep inventory of prints available for purchase and represents and exhibits artists working with printmaking media and their related works.
On exhibit during the Studio Tour is the exhibition "Black Owned" with works by Adrian Armstrong.
