
Joyce LaBaw
Joyce LaBaw began her art journey after thirty-one years as a mechanical engineer at IBM. She works mostly in acrylics, painting abstracts and landscapes, and is especially inspired by local Texas scenes.
Her art has been exhibited at the Austin Bergstrom International Airport, Bass Concert Hall, Zach Theater, Beverly Sheffield Education Center at Barton Springs pool, Old Bakery and Emporium, Link & Pin Art Space, Inspired Minds Gallery, Riverbend Inspiration Gallery and various businesses in Austin.
A past President of the Creative Arts Society, she continues to serve on the Board as Public Relations Chair. She also volunteers at the Community First! Village Art House. She is grateful for the support of the community and has lived in Austin for 30 years. She and her husband have two grown sons in Houston. In addition to painting, her hobbies include swimming, yoga, reading and aquaponics.
