Neelu Amar

Neelu Amar started painting in kindergarten, since then art has been her passion in life. She grew up in India and her artwork shows the influence of Indian culture. The use of a bright and bold color palette is her creative style. Her work shows and expresses a sense of human emotions & feelings. Art is like a therapy to her, a meditative process that encourages creativity and self-expression as a vehicle to reduce stress, improve self esteem and increase self awareness. In fact, she believes most of the exercise of art relies not on the final product you create but on the therapeutic, meditative ritual of the creative process. Her artwork is inspired both by life and nature.

She has been painting in a realistic style but, for the past few years she is enjoying experimenting and creating realistic abstract art.

She has done her Bachelors and Masters in Fine Arts from India and Associate degree in Visual communication from Austin. She works a full time job along with continuing her passion being an artist. She's been living in Austin,TX for the past twenty years with her husband, two kids & two dogs and continues to explore her passion of painting and enjoys creating beauty out of it.
