Rachel Hinojosa

Rachel Salome Jewelry is a line of handcrafted, limited-edition, one-of-a-kind, and custom, fine jewelry that began in 2008.

Rachel uses silver, gold, bronze and both precious and semi-precious stones and diamonds. She is inspired by many different types of metals and gems including jewelry that has been well used, loved, and shows its age. Her current collection continues themes of modern fashion, and elements of ancient Roman and Greek jewelry. In addition, she tries to draw between a very modern and linear design contrasted with an ancient aesthetic. Custom consultations are available by appointment, and can be hand carved or fabricated, or designed digitally with CAD.

Professionally, Rachel spends her time focusing on designing jewelry and mentoring future jewelers and craftsmen as an instructor at Austin Community College.
