Scout Stormcloud Hook

Scout Stormcloud Hook grew up in Houston. She attended the University of

Houston and began a study of Art. In the early 70’s she was Austin’s first female music critic with a regular column in The Rag. She graduated in 1997 from St. Edward’s University with a BA in Art. Her first art show was a group show at the Armadillo World Headquarters in 1976.

She has been painting in oil all her adult life. She had a show at Shown-Davenport Gallery in San Antonio in 1980. She has shown with the Austin Visual Artists Association many times, and the East & West Austin Studio Tours a number of times. She showed at Gallery Lombardi in Austin 2005 and the Fort Worth Community Arts Center in 2018.

She has also shown twice at the Austin Museum of Popular Culture where she served as secretary for 11 years.
